Team Formation and Team Size Guide
Strong teams win by reducing confusion early. Use this guide to set roles, invite members correctly, and keep your project execution focused from day one.
- Know your team-size limits before you start.
- Assign team roles in minutes with fewer conflicts.
- Avoid common mistakes that delay acceptance.
Complete your team setup now to avoid last-minute submission blockers.
The most reliable setup is: one build owner (development), one problem owner (domain/user), one delivery owner (demo/story/pitch), and one QA/integration owner to reduce last-day breakage.
Team size limits keep judging fair and ensure meaningful contribution from every member. For KUFA Hackathon, practical team size is 4 members.
In your first 90 minutes, lock four decisions: project problem statement, MVP scope, role ownership, and demo format. This avoids scope drift and prevents duplicate work.
Team leaders should invite by email from the team invite screen. If invitees already have eligible profiles they can join faster; otherwise they use a secure invite link to complete registration and claim the invitation.
- Confirm team size is 4 members.
- Assign role ownership (build, problem, delivery, QA/integration).
- Agree on project category and scope.
- Set one communication channel and one decision owner per blocker.
- Send invitations early and confirm onboarding status before build day.
